hi i'm new to this site. i have recurring breast cancer and went from her2+ to triple negative...I don't understand that at all. the cancer came back in several area's but all in the left breast area where the original cancer was. they removed 14 lymph nodes in the neck area and some tissue...12 were cancerous. i'm currently doing radiation treatments 28 with a booster ( I think 5). then i was suppose to start chemo but now my onc thinks i should wait 2 months and do another pet scan and determine if the radiation worked or if i have cancer in any other areas. he implied that i need to be on the drug parp but that it's not FDA approved yet....confused and need more info. he indicated triple negative is hard to treat..since i was her 2 positive i'm still researching triple negative any suggestions? thanks!
