Great story! If he had a way of targeting his cancer cells, I think this would have been a winner. He thought the radio waves would target his tumors, but in reality, they didn't. On the other hand, if there was an attached micro metal complex to the tumor, it might have worked. The radio waves heat up the site where a metal might be attached to the cell (tumor site). That is the ongoing gold nano research that is supposed to target the tumor. I hope it pans out and does have some use in cancer therapies. For decades, people have wanted to attach different molecules to cancer cells to destroy them by various methods. It sure was a wonderful human interest story on 60 minutes. Thanks for posting it.
