Dear Maiya,
I'm not sure if we've met before but my name is Jeanne. If we did meet before, I forgot. I'm claiming chemo brain 
- 2nd chem tx scheduled for this Wednesday.
I am sorry that your best friend hasn't visited you and then didn't respond to your letter. It hurts when people we are close to abandon the relationship without explaining what happened or what's going on. 
I haven't experienced what your best friend has done, but wanted to let you know that my heart goes out to you. I'm sorry that you are dealing with another loss. The first loss is all the things that cancer takes away. And then, having to deal with this relationship issue.
I'll keep you in my thoughts & prayers. I hope that you've encountered other people who have unexpectedly stepped up to the plate to support you on this journey.
