...quite a while back on the TV show Mythbusters if it's the one talking about poisons leeching out of the plastic into your water. I didn't check out the link so sorry if I'm off base here. I have heard from news programs that some bottled water isn't as pure as some tap water depending on where you live.
I installed a water filtration system under my kitchen sink and fill my water bottle from there. It was very inexpensive and real easy to put in, especially if you have an handy hubby and it's easy to change the filter out once a month. I just always do it on the first of the month so I don't forget.
It's also allot cheaper than buying bottled water. Like you, I like my water room temperature and re-use my bottle all the time. I just wash it out with dishsoap and water every day to kill off any bacteria like you would any glass you drink from.
Just my two cents worth. Basically, I'm cheap and the filter is the cheapest way plus it's best for the environment.
