George Haslam Baritone Saxophone, Tarogato; Mikko Pasanen Piano; Jarmo Hiekkala Double Bass; Paul Hession Drum Set. Another of Haslam’s unlikely international projects, this time with his longstanding partner Paul Hession and a pair of little known but excellent Finnish musicians. The rapport between the musicians was almost instantly established, resulting in a very coherent improvisation set. Pasanen and Hiekkala are residents of the Karelian city of Kuopio where the recording was made, a city with one of the greatest musical heritages in Finland.
