We have more than just the dark side to cigarette smoking; we now are a major vice.
Why? Well, 24/7 Wall Street has posted a list of the most sinful states; see this link: http://www.comcast.net/slideshow/finance-10statesvice/
They rated a state's sinfulness on the basis of PREVALENCE OF MAJOR VICES: i.e. illicit drugs, binge drinking, tobacco consumption, gambling revenue [the $ they could find?] and pornographic website users.
The teaser photo-header has a title "AMERICAS'S MOST SINFUL STATES" with a 30's-something woman hammering a Marlborough menthol pictured just below. The message is clear as mountain spring water.

Get you a close-up shot of some woman's lips draggin' on a smoldering cig!
The defamation potential for this caricature is Astronomic!! Imagine any racial/societal minority portrayed in such an insulting & bestial cartoon framework??
But they clearly are just following the trend dictated by today's attitude-sheriffs. NO INSULT TOO LOW; NO SLUR TOO INCREDIBLE; IT'S ALL OK IN THE NAME OF MORALITY [that would be the opposite of MAJOR VICE].
