The truth is that I have smoked for six months while taking Chantix. The drug removes physical craving for cigarettes and I believe that it worked admirably. Yet, I did not quit. The truth is also that smoking is more about damaging myself and being a part of a group of people that damage themselves deliberately than it is about the nicotine. In the end, it is the act of smoking and the images that come to me (including the lovely ones provided by our hostess) that entice me to smoke. I am in love with my addiction and mentally encourage it. This supports the small amount of physical addiction that I have admirably.
