Yes, Vesperae, your messages needed to be verbalized. And, it looks like the tide may be beggining to ebb on smoking-hatemongering.
Michigan Bar & Tavern Owners declared NEW YEAR'S EVE a night of civil disobedience. Smoker-patrons were not discouraged from enjoying tobacco-smoking by the owners & staff. They faced several hundreds of $'s fine for taking this attitude.
Some taverns/bars posted messages on the doorways that NY's Eve would be disobedience night but others just let the smell of cigarette smoke from within tell the prospective patron that this bar will not enforce the MICHIGAN no-smo rule!
