I'd suggest getting started now Allan, for two reasons - it's going to take some time to explore the different options, and if the PACT Act passes, it will likely make ordering online more difficult. (Not impossible, if the current language remains, but the PACT Act would require you to personally receive every common carrier package containing tobacco and MYO tubes, papers, etc. - including presenting an ID to verify your age and identity.)
As for specific tobacco recommendations - again, individual tastes vary so widely, and I'm still so new to this that I'm not comfortable suggesting anything specific, especially since you're a clove smoker and I've never been. You'll be much better off reading a number of opinions on the MYO forums, ordering samples, and making up your own mind.
I have no experience with rolling papers at present, so I'm no help there.
As for tubes - the consensus seems to be that Windsail, Ramback, and most tubes made by HBI International are the best. I haven't yet tried the Windsail and Ramback tubes, because they are only available in 85mm (king size) length, but I personally like the Zen ES light 100mm tubes from HBI International since they have a longer filter element than many other MYO tubes (which is also more like commercially produced cigarettes), although there are many, many brands that I've yet to try.
Again, I'd strongly encourage you to just spend some time reading in the online MYO community, since there is a wealth of information there, and since there are many, many others who have a great deal more experience than I do.
Happy Reading and Experimenting!
