Perhaps, being male, I'm missing some of the connotations of this image. However, it would seem obvious that we're seeing the cigarette "after", but sharing that post-orgasmic experience with no one but herself. She doesn't look much like a virgin, but that's maybe the point. How did she look before she gifted herself? Less self assured, more uncertain? Still the pairing of sex and smoking all by itself goes to the heart of the dark romance - always. Daedalus
