I remember that poster well. It appeared one day on the wall of one of my high school teachers classroom when I was an 18 year old senior. Smoking wasn't allowed on campus, but if you were of age, possession was, and I always had a pack of cigarettes in my backpack and didn't care who saw the. When school ended for the day, I made it a point to have them in my hand as I walked to just outside the school gate to smoke a couple before going back inside for whatever after school activities I had going on. This particular teacher was an adamant anti and very critical of smokers. At the end of class the day the poster appeared, she said to a good friend of mine, also a smoker, and I "I'd like you ladies to read the poster beside the door before you leave the room." We didn't reply, but stopped and read the poster, our cigarettes in hand since her's was the last class of the day. We finished reading and my friend said with mock indignation, "Oh great! NOW they tell us!" We could almost feel the teacher glaring at us as we walked away.
