To Closet Fascination:
"Wow... this header fits perfectly with my latest blog post, which is still not ready yet. Well at least with part of the theme of that post..."
I look forward to it; although I know that you're very pressed for time right now, as am I.
P.S.: You know that I'm in your head...right? LOL
To Mick:
Thanks so much for your enthusiastic feedback!
I'm very glad that you are able to find something more than mere entertainment in these images. Again, food for thought is what I'm always going for with these, because I believe that food for thought is not only food for the erotic, but it is also ultimately food for finding perspective and comfort with all of the complexities that underlie it.
I am aware that the ratio of posters to lurkers here is much higher than at a lot of other forums, and I've found that many people prefer to email their responses and thoughts to me privately off of the forum. Which is fine, as far as I'm concerned, although it unfortunately presents for less opportunity for discussion here. Appreciating the true nature of our collective attractions to, and interests in, smoking tends to be process of conscious integration, and I've found that most people need to do it in their own time, at their own pace, and privately...
To AusNick:
"Honest. That's the word that springs to mind when I think about the collection of images."
No higher praise could be offered for these, since that's exactly what my intention has always been. Thank you!
Within complete honesty lies things that we tend to miss when we bring only one lens of perception to the topic of smoking, and why human beings are so perpetually drawn to it. I'm always attempting to help the viewer to try out different points of view that get at all of the layers that make up "the complex and psychologically dark romance..."
"And the current image… dare I say it puts the RISK in ASTERISK?"
LOL...that's a very subtle little joke that only a handful of people would catch, but you're one of them!
And I've always found you to be an Exceptional person as well; Thank You my Dear Friend for your very kind words!
To Jacki:
Re: platform heels - I hear you.
I've never been terribly concerned with what's "in" and what's "out", especially when it comes to my wardrobe choices beyond the demands of a professional environment. Everything "retro" is "neo" again at some point, so where elements of your outfit fall in a trend depends entirely on your perspective.
I actually drug an old pair of platform heels out of my collection about six months ago for dinner with a friend, and she got as much of a kick out of seeing them again as I did out of wearing them, and two different women in the restaurant that we went to asked me where they could get a pair!
