Hiya Jo!
Thanks for dropping by my shadowy little corner of the web and chipping in; you know how much I always enjoy hearing from you, my Friend.
While this forum is a little off the beaten path from the ones that you typically frequent, in that:
1) I try to keep the discussions accessible to our non-SF smoking and smoking-curious readers and posters (of which we do have a few),
2) I strongly prefer to focus on the first-hand experiences of smokers and their relationships to their smoking (as opposed to dedicated non-smokers who lust after smokers), and finally,
3) I have a specific interest in discussing the Forbidden Fruit / Taboo Violation appeal of smoking,
I just know that your experiences and feelings about smoking do have a place here (as your description of the Atlanta airport smoking lounge and your experiences there suggests), and I hope that you'll feel free to participate as the mood strikes.
I'd love for you to start a new thread, and to discuss your "sometimes" smoking situation, and the "why" of it all for our readers.
I know that the explicit Dark Side stuff doesn't really appeal to you, but my intent here isn't to go all the way to the super graphic fantasy stuff that is visited elsewhere (even though we do get into that sometimes as an exercise in hyperbole and "gallows humor"). I'm much more interested in the real world everyday stuff that smokers think about that connects with the "danger is sexy; risk is exciting; being bad feels good" elements of smoking, and I definitely get the feeling that your experiences as a semi-closeted "sometimes" smoker, and your attractions to smoking women that motivate this do have a subtext that gets at these ideas.
I look forward to hearing from you, my Dear!
