I could say dittos for ATL airport which is where I fly out. I don't fly much but when I do I most always go with cigarettes (though I don't routinely smoke anymore). The sightings are amazing in those rooms, as well as up and down the street outside the baggage area at the terminals.
At the ATL the ceiling tiles are literally dripping with tar. Like the poster mentioned, the windows are cloudy. Your eyes have to adjust to the haze to even be able to see when you venture in.
I always think it's an interesting contrast to see that utterly filthy room. You can smell it from the time the escalator dumps you off three hundred yards away. My heart starts racing as soon as my nose receives it-I know that there are absolutely some beautiful women in there who are reeking of that smoke and enjoying every breath deep in their lungs.
It almost never disappoints. There will be a gorgeous 21 year old with a Marlboro Light. There will be a sultry 30 year old with a Newport 100 Full Flavor. There'll be a dozen people with Marlboro Light kings.
I guess it's for comfort, to hang loose but I also always think that in general women dress very casually and hence very sexy for flights. It's not unusual to see awesome cleavage, tight skirts and camel toes in those beautiful young smokers.
It also never fails that there will be an older sixty something COPD patient who hacks up a phlegm ball every drag.
It's something I look forward to EVERY trip I take.
I'll never forget seeing this delicious, long tall and thin professional looking woman who parked her baby's stroller just outside the window and stepped in while pulling a pack of Marlboro 100's from her smart stylish purse. She took a seven second drag on the rich tar and stood six inches from her precious little one like a prisoner through the glass. She made love to that Marlboro as she sated her habit. Even to be that close to her sweet little one yet separated by glass had to be killing her-but she knew she was about to be on a plane for several hours. She wasn't neglecting the child, she was holding it's best interest at heart. Mommy needs nicotine honey. One day the baby will remember Mommy loving her cigarette that way-
