SLC airport has good smoking rooms that are clean and only get thick air when they are crowded. i had just left the SLC lounge last week to head for my gate when a women came up and had to spend several minutes getting her 10 months old (approx) baby to sit still and play on the outside of the entrance so she could stand a foot away and have a smoke.
something about the recent mother who goes back to smoking always excites me. quit for about 9 months and wont do it in a way that the kid inhales much of it but back at the habit full steam regardless.
on the travel front it is getting really difficult to get a smoke beyond security.
mccarren in vegas did shutter the lounges and the bars are smoke free also. phoenix recently did the same thing, that used to be one of the easiest places to smoke with regularly placed bars in the concourse. LAX locked up the smoking spots they had which i dont understand since those were actually outside but past security- what is the point of locking them up?
memphis still has smoking and denver is one of my favorites, i will route a flight through there and cost myself an hour and $50 on my flight if i have the choice. any airports that are good for smoking that i missing?
