I don't know that I've observed exactly what you're describing suckapunks, but since smoking chronically restricts peripheral capillary blood flow, the skin of smokers tends to be paler than that of non-smokers, and unfortunately, premature onset of wrinkles seems to be much more common.
As for reversibility...I suppose that all depends on length and extent of exposure, should the smoker quit.
