I'm curious about something. Why is it that some smokers develop a grayness around the lips and mouth and others do not? I've often contemplated this noticing this gray effect even with younger smokers and those who have not smoked for a very long time. I won't bother getting into siting all examples. I hope either you know what I'm referring to or not. Thing is I'm undecided as to whether this is purely an effect of tar or if this is more of a circulatory issue due to oxygen deprivation. It's like a darkening around the mouth and sometimes facial features. Yet again, it is not a characteristic found in all younger smokers but seems common for older life long smokers.
Casual observance that may not be that well refined. I was also wondering if this is something that is reversible meaning if you quit it eventually goes away?
