Vesperae I meant to post a comment on your previous header but never got around to it
Definitely my favourite of your recent headers, a truly iconic image, one of the most important examples of the positive portayal of smoking in cinema
For anyone who doesn't know, it's from the film Grease
That one sequence (perhaps more than any other ever made?) seems to perfectly encapsulate what smoking is all about - so bad, so cool, so sexy, and a sign of (sexual?) maturity
I wonder how many young women were influenced to start smoking after seeing that movie ? Or whether those involved considered the effect that scene would have ?

And you're quite right about the iconic significance of this one brief movie scene for anyone who was around when it was first introduced to our collective cultural consciousness...especially given Olivia Newton John's super squeaky-clean image at the time that she made this film.
