How active this or any other forum is depends on all the participants, not just the moderator. Personally, I would rather see a board start and stop with substantive discussion than I would see a board be active with meaningless blather.

It may be that this isn't the community for you. Why don't you share a little more about your relationship with smoking and see where the discussion goes?
