thanks for taking the time to reply to my post. you do bring up some pretty valid points that i have at least considered on a cursory level. your post does reinforce those thoughts, though.
having considered that, the only thing i'm using right now is a simple shorted drinking straw. that's not to say that's it's harmless, who knows what the hell it's made of and how the smoke reacts to it. definitely something to be careful of and to consider.
some might consider that an ironic statement from a 2+ pack a day cigarette smoker, but i digress...
with that said, i've been limiting my smoking in this manner with this little device simply for the unknown factor that you've brought up.
truth is, i've honestly been looking for years and years for a holder that would fit the criteria that this simple straw (that probably costs about $0.01) has.
as i mentioned in my original post i'm fascinated by smoke, particularly the smoke that is being drawn from the cigarette before entering the lungs. i love watching it pour from the filter as i take a drag, i love observing the color and consistency differences in the smoke as opposed to the exhaled smoke, and i love the idea of what happens from the time the smoke leaves the filter until it's exhaled from my lungs.
having the opportunity to finally actually see a part of that process that i've never seen before has been nothing short of thrilling, informative, exciting, and revealing.
now, i know there are holders out there that are sized to fit the "slim / slim 120's" cigarettes, but they are always some sort of metal or plastic or stone or something and they always come colored in some manner.
for years i've desperately been searching for a clear holder so that i could see the smoke as i have previously stated. i'd imagine the only way for that to be possible is for the holder to be made out of a specific cigarette safe plastic or out of glass or some sort of military grade resin or some other top secret formula. either way, i've come up completely empty for years and it's been very disappointing.
if anyone knows of anywhere that i could get a clear, see through holder (one that fits a "slim" cigarette (not to mention one that fits a "regular" cigarette would also be nice, but i'm not being greedy) please please please let me know.
this is something that's tickled that element of my fetish for years, i just happened to stumble upon a crude way of going about it.
with that all said, i very much appreciate your post and concerns, nick. that's part of what i love about the community, even if i don't most that much anymore. people are always giving valid and positive feedback (at least in quality forums like this one).
as for now, that method of smoking is something that's for limited occasions only and i certainly have no desire to construct or build any device of any kind, believe me, lol.
the fetish can motivate us to do some strange things or go way out of our way to get a fetish fix of sorts, but even i have my limitations, lol.
but again, thanks for bringing up a very valid point, thank you very much!
