Posted by vesperae I just believe that the discussions here would benefit the most if we heard mainly from the smokers, and from those who are truly interested in attempting to empathize with the experience of being a smoker. Please don't hesitate to ask me here, or via email, if you aren't sure about what I mean. I also want to make it clear that my administrative comments honestly aren't intended as criticisms of anyone who has taken the time to contribute here. If you have posted here in the past, and I've not only left your message up, but had discussions with you, it means that I respect you, and find what you have to say to be interesting and of value. I'm just attempting to create the best and most interesting forum that I can, even if only for the benefit of a relatively small audience, and I selected and am specifying the limits of the topic range here in an attempt to do that, and only that. I believe that you create the best forum that you can by picking a unique topic range that you know something about, have a personal interest in, and are willing to talk about, but especially by choosing and maintaining a topic range that doesn't retread territory that others have not only already covered, but covered well. I want to make it perfectly clear that you don't have to smoke, or have to have been a smoker, in order to post here. Smoking isn't an absolute requirement.
