One item to note: some research is starting to indicate that females metabolize nicotine much slower than males in general. Therefore, it is easier for females to overdose on nicotine. This in turn would explain why more women get sick after their first cigarette than men. They inhale and inhale, and overdose but don't know it until later when all the nicotine gets metabolized. I was just reading something about that the other day. I'd have to do a Google search to try and find that study again.
