If you've read my other thread here, I used to smoke just two cigarettes in the morning, go to work, and wouldn't smoke again until I got home 9+ hours later, when I'd have maybe 4-5 more. I never had any physiological symptoms at work. And I could go for two or more days without a cigarette and be fine. Since I'm up to a pack a day, though, I find that I feel "lightheaded" (for lack of a more descriptive term) at about the 7 hour mark since the last cigarette. I can't focus, I can't pay attention, I can't concentrate. I also get a little "twitchy", where I am kind of nervous and feel "jumpy". No other physical symptoms arise though (although the longest non-sleeping period I've gone without a cigarette in the past 4 years has been 15 hours.
