Hey, it's their 15 minutes of fame and we all do it on some level. Human behavior often times is invisible to us. Like a fish doesn't know it's wet. But this is another discussion that is off topic from the board. Look for the exhibit, not for the art, but for the dirty lungs . . . .
I hear you and agree on the capitalizing on perspectives of the moment. On the pollution versus smoking theme however, one could arguably say these were smokers lungs. You'd almost have to see them yourself. One exhibition was called, the smoker. If you used that persons lungs as the benchmark, then the remaining works smoked as well. As mentioned, several were nice and white or some only freckled. But many were pure black. That can only come from one of two things: smokers lung or a coal miner.
