Forgot to mention...
With respect to the change in AS PSA approaches to appeal to concepts of vanity instead of mortality, consider this earlier message and link about the rise in smoking among young Australian women following exposure to the famous CGI and autopsy AS spots.
If you accept the premise that denial depends on awareness of something to deny, then this should be considered as strongly supporting the "Sublime" appeal of smoking that I am talking about here.
