I actually did the same thing, and checked out the few links I had for the various Smoking By Denise restorations that people have attempted, but no luck either. I think that the biggest problem is that there is just so much damn content that it is hard to do, and because there are so many pages, it's hard to keep up beyond bandwith restrictions (especially for banner hosted servers). I know that AusNick was working on a PDF of the site, which is a great idea, although probably not the most user friendly in terms of jumping around to the specific sections you might want to go to. Perhaps someday, someone with server resources who would appreciate the content will hook up with someone willing to do a full reconstruction. But it'd be no small task. I really enjoyed your remarks about contacting Denise to include a "Cons" section, and your reaction to how she handled it. I didn't realize that you were the one who suggested it, but I agree with your assessment that it was one of the most (unintentionally?) erotic sections of SBD, and I've probably re-read that page as many times as I've read any other on the site. I think that beyond the cheery prose, there was definitely this wonderful tension related to the notion that "there was really no going back" once you understood the pleasure of satisfying an addiction to nicotine. I was also greatly thrilled by the concept of a more knowing embracing of the Risks of smoking as being part of the process of initiation, and the "Cons" section erotically colored the remainder of the content for me with this thought.
