Posted by Perry (+v) You may discuss your own underage smoking in historical context. You may not focus your comments on descriptions of the underage smoking of others. Thank You! Now as for the first cigarettes being hard or making you ill that is not always the case. In fact I cannot remember me or any of the people I have witnessed starting smoking become sick. Dizzy yes, sick no. Did they like it at first some yes some no. [...Non-autobiographical description of underage smoking deleted by Moderator...] [...I] am curious if anyone else can remember taking to smoking so easily? Perry

Thanks for your response Glad to be welcome here. As for the dangers of smoking in the 13 year olds subconscious somewhere, I am unsure. If it is there it's buried pretty deep. Bad to a 13 year old is not that they are thinking it's bad for them. But rather it's something that they have not reached the age were it is acceptable for them to do it. They get Anti-smoking messages in school but that conflicts with the fact that they see most people they know that smoke seem just fine. Sure there may be an odd family member or neighbor that has developed some illness from their smoking but these occurrences seem rare compared to the many many people that they see smoking around them. Plus all the people who got sick are really really old. Like 40 or something. God that's a long long way away. They must be just trying to scare us with all that anti-smoking crap. Plus as you know I can quit smoking anytime I want.
