For one thing, I'm not looking to build a class for my car. I already have a class to run in which the car was built around it's rules. I'm simply looking for another venue to run.
I expressed my ideas as to what would interest me and make me want to come run the class, that's all. I'm sure J is reading these posts and they will make what ever decision best suits the needs of the class and the racers as a whole.
I can agree with the 31 x 10.5W (max), doesn't really bother me. But to say mine and Mikes cars work as well as a back half car is silly. Put us on a hot/greasy track and see how many solid clean runs we get compared to a back half car running 14 x 32's (or bigger).
Plain and simple, with index racing there needs to be a level playing ground for all. Summer months can have very challenging track conditions and this gives a big tire car a clear advantage. I don't see how anyone with any racing experience can argue that.
Now suspension design, doesn't matter to me really. I don't see 4 links and ladder bars being that much better than todays technology stock suspension.
I've said my peace and will leave it at that.
Thanks for listening J.
