Played one many years ago, a used one in the D.C. area. Owned an old blonde Fender '60 Bandmaster head (with that insanely good pitch-mod trem). Certainly different amps; but the Vicky combo IIRC was the 3x10 config and had a good vibe to it overall. I think I remember it having reissue Jensens in that particular example, and it had a good deal of bottom-end to it when pushed moderately into breakup. Loud enough for the average club gig (of course anything can be loud enough for anywhere with an appropriate P.A., aside from stage volume of the amp itself). I am so tempted to say it had that familial "tweed" sound but that would be dumb wouldn't it?
Truth is, it did!
I've always liked the Victorias. Go back and listen to the audio conversation with Mark Baier on this site in the Gear Resource section. Should be in the profile of the Regal. He's always had that love and unabashed mission to accurately repro those old tweed-era Fenders.
Hope you are well in Memphis!
