We are the only team in the league with 2 coaches and since the club complains about a tight budget, how about saving money in this area? We are clearly not getting our moneys worth out of 2 coaches as we finished behind Dundee, Basingstoke, and Fife who all filled the coaching role with a player. The championship club (Coventry)employed a coach who also keeps a regular full time job. Dampier and Tuyl don't provide any edge at all, never mind one that warrants extra expenses that the competition doesn't have. 2)Change the budget with circumstances. I understand the need to maintain financial stability, especially as a result of past northeast clubs experiences. However, when you are given a gift like David Longstaff becoming available for your club, a situation that dramatically improves the fortunes of the club, spend what is required to get him. Yes, the club did sign him, but they deflated the impact he could have had by releasing an import to make room for him. If we can't afford impact Brits plus the maximum imports in our first season, how will we ever afford it? Having a chance to get a British player the caliber of David Longstaff instantly moves a organizations building process a couple levels ahead. Best way to build up revenues is to put a great product out. Top notch companies adjust their budgets with the changing situations, the Vipers didn't and they paid for it. 3)Keep framilair faces. After finishing in 8th place it is clear that we need better players, however it would be smart to keep at least one-third of the players. Too many times in the past we have had wholesale changes which makes it impossible for fans to identify with the club. 4)Where's the promotion? It's a minority sport, and therefore needs to work like hell to get fans. Where is the deals to get people in? The club needs to do more than put on a 60 minute match because that is not enough to keep the casual fan coming back.

I thought I may as well comment on here because I doubt this would survive on the official forum. Everybody seems happy that we survived the year and didn't finish with the wooden spoon but I think the clubs fans deserve more than those low expectations. It was great that we won the Findus Cup, however in our last 2 ISL season we made finals in 2 competitions and I don't think that if the results in those 2 games were different that those seasons would be considered a success by anybody. The fact is that we finished 8th in the season and went out early in the playoffs, and as a result some work needs to be done by the club. Here are a few suggestions:
