Frankly I've watched hockey here since the days of the Wasps and the Whitley Bees. That's apporx 50 years and I still keep hearing the same sad story. let the Brits play. By keeping an import roster limit you create a false market. If you pay to watch you should be provided entertainment. I honestly believe they should scrap the BNL/ISL/EPL ( to many people simply defending their own turf) form one big league but set limits on the wages. So that you are allowed say4 players getting paid 5000 quid a season, 4 players getting 3000 and the rest say 1000. I don't know what figures to put on it but keepit low wenough to have every team able to compete. What you want is equally matched teams. As many imports as you like(but few are going to try and amke a living from it so it DOES open the door for local kids).
