For a while I have been wondering why the German forces, artillery and air force didn't concentrate their fight against the Russian forces and logistical support on the other side of the Volga? The Luftwaffe could have pummeled the hidden artillery, railroad tracks and assembly points, thus disabling the supply of the Russian forces inside Stalingrad. This should have been done all the outer flanks where the Germans were hyper sensitive of the loaming Russian build up. Let me know your thoughts. Ted
