Spiers, Spiers, and more Spiers I mean. Marian was responsible for the Virginia clan of Henry Spiers' history and genealogy. She graciously allowed me to retype her book of Spiers' into a family tree program and post it on this site for all to see and add to. We exchanged emails for over a decade even though we never met. Marian would send me notes of births, deaths and marriages to help keep the tree up to date and it is as complete as it is because of her. In the last few years Marian sent me a lot of stories pertaining to her closer relations ranging from growing up to days on the railroad or grocery and family members serving our country. Every story or note she sent to me has found its way into the family tree. When I could I placed it in the notes of the people she was referencing but a more than a few were placed in the notes under her name. It is with grand disappointment that we have lost a family historian. Although we never met I will miss her.
