I dont know if this is our Margaret Spiers that is why I am looking for something after 1851.
Our Margaret arrived in New Zealand in 1861 this is calculated from her death certificate 1912 and 51 years in NZ.
Margaret was born in Ayr in Scotland in 1835 this is calculated from her death certificaye 1912 and aged 77 years.
This is verified by OPR Birth and Baptisms
which gives her birth as 22/11/1834 at St Quivox, Ayr, Scotland.
At her marriage to our Great Grandfather she gave her name as Margaret Young in 1865 in NZ.
