Strange recurring dreams
Posted by Brad Spiers on 6/10/2010, 9:57 am, in reply to "Another Oddity"
Similar things happening to me, Kevin. Although over 30 years have passed since I used to work at a small airport in Southeastern Virginia (1970-1976), I still have a recurring dream of an actual event where a gust front blew through and damaged aircraft parked outside. As I used to work weekends, I would rise early on Saturday morning to head to my job there. Oddly enough, my recurring dream happens on Friday nights into Saturday mornings. When I wake up now on a Saturday morning, I feel like I need to head straight to the airport, but it is now 200 miles away. Really strange how dreams work. |
: Cynthia Spiers wakes up from a dream
: about a cat being nailed into the
: wall of a house. It is a repeated
: dream for a week or so. They happen
: to be building a home at the time
: and she insists that the builders
: are doing it in their new house
: while it is still under
: Tracy Spiers reluctantly confronts
: the builder about it and even shows
: the builder where in the house he
: thinks there might be a cat. After
: some discussion the builder takes a
: hammer and knocks a hole in the
: sheet rock. They shine a flashlight
: inside and see nothing. While Tracy
: is apologizing for the trouble a cat
: crawls out of the hole in the wall.
: Now the builder is apologizing.
: A few days later the dream recures
: and again a hole is bashed into
: another wall in the house and again
: another cat emerges from the hole.
: Tracy and Cynthia refuse to accept
: the house as built and the builder
: accepts. They buy a nice new home in
: the hill country.

: Our family has a bit of strange luck
: at times. Not bad luck, just odd.
: I thought I would start a thread and
: see if perhaps it runs in the clan.
: If you have an odd story or
: happenstance please relate it to us.
: Just as an start. I have an odd
: sense of time. Darla will ask me
: what time it is at all points of the
: day and I answer within a minute or
: two of the actual time. Yesterday
: she asked and I replied it was 2:05
: and it was, exactly 2:05. I don't
: own a watch and haven't since about
: 1980. Just an odd trait.
