I have some information regarding David Elias Spiers, born 1840 in Bentworth, Hampshire, England. I believe his family links in to the family of Charles and Charlotte Spiers married 1815 East Tisted. My suspicion is he was the illegitimate son of Ann(a)/Anne Marie/Maria Spiers, who I believe was the eldest daughter of Charles and Charlotte Spiers, born around 1816 between their marriage in 1815 and their previously first known child Sophia who was born in 1821. David Spiers was living with Charles and Charlotte in the 1841 census aged 1, I believe as a grandchild not a child as might be suspected from the census returns. David moved to his mother's new husband when Ann Marie married George Pointer in 1844, as he is shown in the 1851 census with them but with his own surname.
I will post further details to the site maintainers so this can all be added properly.
