Cynthia Spiers wakes up from a dream about a cat being nailed into the wall of a house. It is a repeated dream for a week or so. They happen to be building a home at the time and she insists that the builders are doing it in their new house while it is still under construction.
Tracy Spiers reluctantly confronts the builder about it and even shows the builder where in the house he thinks there might be a cat. After some discussion the builder takes a hammer and knocks a hole in the sheet rock. They shine a flashlight inside and see nothing. While Tracy is apologizing for the trouble a cat crawls out of the hole in the wall. Now the builder is apologizing.
A few days later the dream recures and again a hole is bashed into another wall in the house and again another cat emerges from the hole.
Tracy and Cynthia refuse to accept the house as built and the builder accepts. They buy a nice new home in the hill country.
