John Speirs - Little Big Horn 1876

Amazing!!! There was a Private John Speirs at the battle of the Little Big Horn in 1876. He was lucky he wasn't with Custer. He was in Company C, 17th Infantry under Capt. Malcolm McArthur. They rode from Fort Abraham Lincoln in Dakota Territory. Anyone know where he was from? Thanks, Gary
