Florence Elvira Spiers Reedy 1866 - 1953, daughter of John P. Spiers Jr. 1826 -1900, dictating note to her daughter Florence Marie "Flossie" Reedy 1897 - 1962 while she was sick in bed ca. 1951-1952.
Hand written note is as follows with my notations in parentheses.
Great Grand Ma Winningham was a Trammel from Alabama. Her daughter Victoria {Winningam} married John Spiers {Jr.}. Great Grand Ma Spiers was Edwards daughter Lou from Ga. She married John Spiers {Sr.} and their son John {Spiers Jr.} married Victoria {Winningham}. Great, Great, Lord Archibald Spiers from Scotland had three sons. John {tls or etc} lll Tybee Savannah - lived in Ga. Her brother lived {maybe landed} N.Y. The oldest stayed in Scotland to Inherit Title. This note seems to indicate a connection of John Spiers 1799-1889 to Alexander Speirs of Elderslie in Scotland. If anyone finds a connection please give me a holler. Thanks, Gary Spiers
