It is a fair ball when a fielder standing in fair territory catches a ball that is over foul ground. True or False?
How about this variation: It is a foul ball when a fielder standing in fair territory catches a ball that is over foul ground. True or False?
Or this: It is a live ball when a fielder standing in fair territory catches a ball that is over foul ground. True or False?
The answer is on a caught fly ball, either fair or foul, the status of Fair or Foul is no longer covered in the rules and is not a judgement call.
Your thoughts?
