I ain't never been the Barbie doll type. I'd rather drink my Gatorade and play softball all night.
You can put me in the outfield, infield even back behind the plate.
I can get you out if you try to steal, yea I throw it hard and straight.
I know that I'm a tomboy, but I don't give a rip.
I stand barefooted in my own front yard knocking balls over the fence.
Yea I'm a softball woman, I ain't no high class broad.
If you think that you can beat us, I say oh yea bring it on!
I keep my cleats ahangin on my front porch all year long.
If you think I'm just a pretty face, boy you've got me wrong.
So here's to all my sisters out there playing tough and mean.
Let me hear a big old cheer for the softball girls like me. Oh Yea!
Victoria Secret their stuffs real nice, but sliding into home plate don't do a thing for my backside.
And if my team's adraggin and they put me on the mound,
you best believe it's going to be three up and three down.
All the boys they try to pick me when it's time for choosing teams,
but I'm still out playing the field for the boy of my dreams.

As of May 5th 2008 I have been trying to go through the proper channels for two years to get this song out in the public airwaves. Currently I'm sending this out as a poem because I have been told as of now this can not be legally performed as a song. Let Gretchen Wilson and her music promoters know you and your "Softball Women" would love this available to hear as they are getting ready to play. If this goes to video I hope to get one of the All American Women's Baseball League members to barehand a catch at the end.
The group SERENITY visits hospitals and rehab centers given away toy soft filled softballs. We also want to just send them out to these locations.
