Our smoke-free law works! A "before and after" study by the University of Minnesota Cancer Center showed there was a more than 80 percent decrease in secondhand smoke-specific carcinogens in the bodies of non-smoking hospitality workers after the Freedom to Breathe Act took effect. Workers in bars and restaurants deserve to be protected from a known health hazard. Keep the smoke out of bars and all other places where people work!
