We have a 4-year-old daughter and then 14-month-old twins, who are climbing and walking and trying to run. I love to get out and about when I can, but am finding it very difficult to keep an eye on all 3 of the kids and making sure everyone is safe -- not to mention having fun. My daughter helps a lot, but she is only 4 and the twins are over 25 pounds now so ...
We go out with friends or as a family, but I'd like to have the option to go out by myself with the kids from time to time. It'd make me feel less like a cooped-up animal
I've tried a couple of parks and the aquarium. It sort of worked. I've bought cute animal harnesses for the twins, but they get so frustrated when they can't explore on their own pace. And they hate being stuck in the stroller.
Does anyone have any suggestions on an enclosed-type space to take 3 kids of such different age groups? Or tips on how to make it work? Or do I need to accept the fact that staying at home unless someone else is with me is my reality for the time being?
