I think piggy-backing is a great idea. I hope it works out. Anything to get the word out to moms of twins and triplets that they are not alone!
Colorado can host a huge event. They are the home to Twins Magazine and the Twin-to-Twin Transfusion foundation plus a number of movers and shakers in NOMOTC. I'm not thinking anything on their scale. Just some ideas for something cool and little we could do, be it some news articles on raising multiples or a short press release, a walk like you are planning, a party, just something. And if there isn't any interest, there isn't any interest. I know how busy moms of multiples are. And here, lots of the moms are swamped with church and kid activities too.
As for photos - I know they are having a photo contest for the cover of Twins Magazine. I don't know all the rules, but I did hear people could send in photos for a chance. There must be something on their website.
They are also having other kids contests at the national event. I was just thinking un-alike is the one mine could win.
As NOMOTC begins building National Birth Awareness Month, they are going to try to make it bigger, rivaling Twinsberg, and are trying to make it happen at Disneyland or such. But this is the first year, and it's just not that big yet.
