I had a heck of a time with this topic! Jacob took to it, no problem - but he did get rewards for every time he went. I did a sticker chart, where they got a big sticker for #2 and small sticker for #1.
Nicholas was, has been and still is a problem and he's almost 5. He doesn't have accidents daily like he used to, but he just seems too busy in his daily life to be bothered to go potty.
If you read posting from past messages below, you'll see some other experiences mothers (including myself) have had.
Simply - they always say they will do it when they are ready and for the most part, I think that is true. Don't fight it or they will fight you to the bitter end. Continue to train the one who is working with you, don't loose that if you've already started and are getting a good response.
