Hi Wendy! I frequently feel this way too. I attended Connie Sokol's class "Create Your Ideal Life" at the Mothering Mini-Convention and found it to be very inspiring.
She suggested asking ourselves,
"What would be my ideal life?"(Be specific, write it down) She also cautioned us to "lose perfection" and "be real."
Do things to help you:
"Enjoy the Process" (do thing that you enjoyed before you were a mother and before you were married).
"Enjoy your Friends"
"Enjoy the Challenges"
Here is Connie's website: www.lifechangeprogram.com
I like making lists and if I can accomplish one thing from my list a day, I'm doing good. If I can cross of two or more things from my list I'm doing great!
I've also tried to set deadlines for projects around the house for myself by certain holidays or house guests coming for a visit. That usually seems to motivate me lots.
I found a book called "The Toddler's Busy Book - 365 Creative Games and Activities to Keep your 18 month to 3 year old busy." I'm hoping to organize more activities for my twins in 2008. I've also declared to my husband that 2008 is the year for us to get organized.
Anyway, these are just a few thoughts. Hope it helps in some way.
