Congratulations on passing 36 weeks!! "Building supply" means you have to establish the amount of milk that you will need at the beginning (happens during the first 3-4 weeks after birth). The milk production is on a feed back mechanism. The more you pump or feed, the more milk your breasts will produce. About four weeks after birth, your body will become more consistant in the amount of milk it produces according to the amount of feeding and/or pumping that took place during that first four weeks. Have you talk to a lactation specialist or read books about breast feeding? Make sure you talk to a lactation specialist at the hospital when you give birtdt. A book about breast feeding is a good reference to have on hand. I used a book called: The Nursing Mother's Companion: Revised Edition by Kathleen Huggins It was a great book; I got it on Amazon.
