The BEST piece of advice I received was: when you get one up to feed, wake the other up too. Keep them on the same feeding & nap schedule, otherwise you'll be running around the proverbial headless chicken! My twins are 15 mo. and they're still both on the same schedule. This gives me time to relax, clean house, and just have time w/o kids constantly at my feet wanting mommy!
Also, whether or not to keep them together is something you should try to determine after they're born. From what I've read, twins typically do better together (it's how they were for 7+ months, right?), but I've seen some exceptions to the rule. Mine shared a crib until they were 4 months old--my son would wiggle around so much he'd eventually start kicking his sister! I say if keeping them together works, do it until it becomes unsafe (they can roll, wiggle around, etc.).
Other than that, advice I have is remember that even though they share the same birthday (and maybe even the same genes), they're still totally separate little people. Oh, and buy a good digital camera!
