pencak silat is efficacly ??

i saw the web site pencak silat seni gayong and i have some question : what is the place of silat between the martial arts ? silat is efficacly ? because some people tell : the japanese martial arts such as (jujutsu - karaté - taijutsu- kenpo...)are the perfect martial arts .
