enquiring, Tai Chi and Pa Kua both have their roots in Taoism but today the religious beliefs of each practitioner are left to their own personal taste. There was a certain Pa Kua master in China that would teach only Muslims. But he's long gone and the style is now open to anyone regardless of their religious affiliation. Also, its only certain styles of Silat that prefer Muslim teachings. There are other styles that prefer Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, native Malaysian beliefs and still others that combine those before mentioned beliefs. However, generally the individual is left to their devices.
